How do I use AWS Rekognition with Wasabi?

Amazon Rekognition can be used to to add image and video analysis to your applications.  This AWS service works with Wasabi when you make your content Wasabi-stored imagery and/or video content available as a public URL.

You can try this out by using the following steps:

1. Visit the AWS Rekognition console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/rekognition/home?region=us-east-1#/label-detection.  Note that you need to have a valid AWS account to try out this demo. 

2. Enter in the https URL of a Wasabi-hosted 'public' file at the bottom of the AWS Rekognition console and select 'Go'     If you are not sure how to make a file public, please review this article

If you want a URL to test with, Wasabi has hosted one of the AWS public images as the following public URL:

https://s3.wasabisys.com/wasabi-support-bucket/aws-rekognition-images/city_resized.jpg

Note that this example discusses the use of Wasabi's us-east-1 storage region. To use other Wasabi storage regions, please use the appropriate Wasabi service URL as described in this article
