Wasabi is sometimes asked if it is possible to white-label, private-label, or otherwise rebrand/co-brand the Wasabi hot cloud storage service. This question often comes up when a managed service provider (MSP) wishes to resell Wasabi as part of a broader service offering.
Below is a summary of what can and can not be done in this area:
1. For reseller partners that meet a certain annual storage level, we do allow for the rebranding of the Wasabi service URLs. For example, s3.wasabisys.com (our us-east URL) could be rebranded as s3.partnerXYZ.com. This allows the partner to resell Wasabi storage to an end user and that end user would point their storage application to a service URL associated with the partner's brand, not Wasabi's. This capability does require that the appropriate DNS entries and https certificates be in place for secure routing of the storage traffic. Please contact the Wasabi Partner team for more info.
2. The web-based Wasabi Management Console does have some limited Wasabi branding and can not be rebranded or cobranded at this time. For many partners, this is OK because in models where the partner is doing the provisioning and billing of Wasabi storage for the end user, the end user would never need to access the Wasabi Management Console.
3. Desktop clients provided by Wasabi (including Wasabi Client) can not be rebranded or cobranded. Several of the leading client applications for S3-style storage do support rebranding for a fee. Examples include CloudBerry, ExpanDrive, and Mountain Duck. Please contact these vendors for details on their capabilities in this area.
